Cramming fifty words a day and forgetting them in a week isn't a memory problem — it's a method problem.
The problem is rarely your memory. It is the method.
Space your reviews
Memory decays along the Ebbinghaus forgetting curve. The fix is to revisit the same word on days 1, 3, 7, 14 and 30 — which tools like Anki schedule automatically.
Learn chunks, not words
Don't memorise cuenta = bill. Memorise La cuenta, por favor. The brain stores phrases more reliably than isolated words, and you can deploy it immediately without assembling a sentence.
Attach words to images
For pan (bread), picture bread sitting in a frying pan. The stranger the image, the longer it lasts.
Always learn the article with the noun
Store la mesa, never mesa. Learn them apart and you will guess the gender every single time you use the word.
